1953 born in Bruges on November 2nd; spent early life in Africa

1968-´74 taking drawing courses at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Mechelen

1973-´76 studying at St. Mary Institute in Antwerp; obtains a Graduate Diploma (BA) in 'Plastic Arts’

1978 studying philosophy at the VUB and collaborating on the Filmhuis Mechelen magazine

1979-´80 working for the Mechelen Miniature Theater, organizing film presentations, exhibitions and poetry evenings

1982-´87 studying at the ´École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels de La Cambre´ in Brussels; obtains the ´Peinture et Recherches Tridimensionnelles´ diploma with great distinction

1982-´00 cooperating as a scenographer with several non-professional theaters

1988-´90 teaching drawing and painting classes at the École d´Arts d´Uccle (municipal academy in Uccle)

1999 obtains a University of Ghent art science degree with greatest distinction, having written a dissertation on : The ´Musée imaginaire´ of Antoni Tàpies

1999-´01 research assistant at the Ghent University, on the MK20 project (an ICT education innovation project in collaboration with the University of Ghent, Department Academy, and Open University Heerlen in the Netherlands) with the Department of Art and Music Theater Sciences

2001-´04 assistant at the Department of Art, Music and Theater Science, Visual Arts department of the University of Ghent
